Please join us for the Million Dog March, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. Permits have been approved from both the Statehouse and the City of Concord, so we will meet at the Statehouse, and walk around the block to the Legislative Office Building, and back
to the Statehouse. Well-behaved dogs are encouraged to attend ( that would leave mine out ! :) ); the event will take place rain or shine, heat or cold, because whatever the weather, it is nothing compared to the conditions endured by our unfortunate canine friends who live outside, unprotected by their human guardians and our state's inadequate law.
I chose the mid-October date to coincide with introduction of the 2008 legislation, and, hopefully we will have several of our sponsoring legislators in attendance. If any of your own legislators are animal -friendly, please let me know and I will contact them . In addition, beginning in September I will be looking for people in other areas of the state who might be able to distribute posters, and who can give me suggestions for other local contacts such as radio station personalities, animal-friendly newspaper reporters and so forth. Also I would welcome any suggestions for anyone who can help with printing of banners and signs .
The theme for the Million Dog March is , " Give Us Shelter" ... for more details on this issue please visit my website at : www.
Give-Us-Shelter. com , and please forward this message widely to all your animal-friendly human contacts.
We know that the vast majority of Granite Staters DO NOT want our beloved canine friends to suffer from inadequate shelter ; now it's time to make sure our Legislators are aware of that as well. Thank you, everyone, for the animals
